#RealTalk :: Before I get started, I want to share two very important things: I don’t post pictures like this for “likes”, and the words I share are not because I feel like I have all the answers. I speak from my heart and I speak from my own experience. I’ve opened up my journey to the world because I want to motivate you to be the best version of you that you can be! With that being said, those words hold no value, if what you are doing doesn’t make you happy.
Last night I ate frozen yogurt. I ate a lot of it. Covered in Reese’s PB cups and hot fudge. I ate until I was full – there wasn’t very much left, and I knew I could finish it, but I thought to myself “Why eat to the point of being uncomfortable, just to do it?,” so I stopped and I saved it – hello, snack today!! 🙌🏼
Did I restrict calories all day because I knew we were going to get frozen yogurt later? Nope. Did I stress about how this would fit my macros? Nope. Did I regret the indulgence? Not one bit. I ate what I wanted, and I ENJOYED it, because I know this isn’t something I do every day of my life. And guess what?! I woke up this morning and my abs are still there. I say this sarcastically, but there is truth there!
Hear me out. See, I’ve been a prisoner to that mind game before, and I tell you what, finding food freedom is a beautiful thing!! You can lie through your teeth all you want and say you are happy, but where is that getting you?! Be honest with yourself. Nutrition is important when it comes to your goals. Obviously. But so is living!! Finding a place where you are HAPPY, is far more important than what the pie chart in your My Fitness Pal tells you. When it clicks, it clicks!
My point here is exactly what this quote says “Don’t wait for things to be perfect before you decide to start enjoying your life.” Start now. Work hard, but don’t be afraid to live a little too!! 😘😘😘
