Your mission this week is to BELIEVE. Not only do I want you to believe in yourself, but I want you to believe in this program. You’re going to find yourself doing things you’ve never done before, and it’s not always going to be rainbows and butterflies, but I believe you can conquer each workout, master every exercise, and push yourself to find new limits.
Wow!! No lazy Sunday happening over here!! Not to start the day at least. No, today I dove right into Charlie Mike with deadlifts.
This was a challenging day for sure – and I almost didn’t even post the video on FB, due to some negative self talk!! I met my friend Amy at the gym this morning, because she’s working through the Charlie Mike program too.
I asked her to video a few of my deadlift reps for me and I’m glad I did. I can already pick apart several things I need to improve on, and I will admit that it got me down a little bit.
I literally had to check myself and say, “Kels, this is the FIRST time you’ve EVER done this! You’ve never done sets at this weight EVER in your life. Nobody is perfect the first time they try something new. Instead of focusing on what you could have done better, celebrate the fact that you even TRIED!”
I know the road of this journey is ever changing and rather than quit, I’m going to keep on practicing, focus on my improvements, and move forward!!
Todays conditioning left me in a pool of sweat – just the way I like it!!
Nothing but foam rolling and stretching tonight!! xoxo
