A few weeks ago, I signed up for the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge from http://simplegreensmoothies.com/30-day-challenge. Co-founders of the site are Jadah & Jen – two mothers who are passionate about health, life, and creating delicious green smoothies. What I really loved about them is that they don’t view this as a diet, but rather a lifestyle!! True that – how can you not love them already?! I have REALLY been enjoying this challenge…if you are joining me, how do you feel?? I have noticed an increase in energy and my body just feels good. I took the weekend off and missed two days due to travel. Because I signed up mid-challenge, I am no longer receiving specific weekly smoothies, so I will be picking my own from now until #30.

Green Smoothie #15 : Meal on the Go
Combining some carbs with some healthy fats and your greens – you’ve got a smoothie designed to keep you full and fueled until your next meal!! I absolutely loved this one and will definitely make it again for a power packed breakfast for lunch. In fact, I have some errands to run and think I will do as the name suggests and take this little number for a ride 🙂

I FINALLY received my Stainless Steel Drinking Straws and I LOVE them!! They are perfect for these thick green smoothies!!
I have also seen some really cute paper straws at Target that I have been keeping my eye on too!!
- 2 cups fresh kale
- 2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
- 2 cups berries
- 1 banana
- 2 tablespoons almond butter + ¼ cup rolled oats
- Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
