Over the weekend I signed up for the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge from http://simplegreensmoothies.com/30-day-challenge. Co-founders of the site are Jadah & Jen – two mothers who are passionate about health, life, and creating delicious green smoothies. What I really loved about them is that they don’t view this as a diet, but rather a lifestyle!! True that – how can you not love them already?! Green Smoothie #3 : Spa Skin Cleanse
Get a lot of bang for your blend with this green smoothie. Avocado has a significant portion of healthy fats and vitamin E, while the coconut water is full of electrolytes, “hydrating and regenerating your tissue.” Drinking the natural skin boosting ingredients in this green smoothie and applying external moisturizer ( or even unrefined coconut oil), your skin should be glowing in no time. I’m not going to lie, I was hesitant to try this one – something about avocados and smoothies. I have done it before but it’s been awhile. I enjoyed this one too – the pineapple and coconut water actually make this one refreshing – my avocado was just about to turn so I am excited to try it again with a less ripened avocado!!

- 2 cups spinach, fresh
- 2 cups coconut water
- 2 cups pineapple
- 1 avocado
Blend spinach and coconut water until smooth. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again. * Use at least one frozen fruit to make the green smoothie cold.
