Welcome to Minnesota in January, where it is not unusual to have temps well below zero. It is also not unusual to find people out and about, attempting to do what they enjoy….dont’cha know?! That being said, if my husband can sit outside in his ice house, fish all day, and enjoy his hobby then I sure as heck can bundle up, take the dog for a 20 min run and enjoy mine!
So like a true Minnesotan, that is exactly what we did! Double the pleasure, double the fun – bundled myself up with two of each of the following: pants, shirts, vests (1 weighted, 1 puffy), mittens, hats, and running buddies!! Do I dare say it felt amazing?? (At least when I got the wind out of my face anyway).
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but I think a lot when I run and workout – as grueling as the activity may be or not, I spend time reflecting and thinking. Sometimes I get the most amazing ideas and motivational messages! I swear it’s what keeps me going…and what drives me to not give up!
Today, I just want you to get up and do something! No excuses…make it happen! The only thing standing in your way is you. I don’t want you to wish for it, I want you to work for it, and I want you to love it! Chase down the changes you want…because YOU CAN!
As I was rounding the corner to home today, I thought to myself, if I inspire at least one person to do something, even if it is just one person a month, that is twelve people a year. If each of those people inspire one person to get started, and so on and so forth, we have created a ripple effect! A ripple effect of life-changing awesomeness!
And that my friends, is why you see my posts everyday. I won’t stop doing what I love because at the end of the day if I inspire one person….#rippleeffect. Think about it and do what you love, because you never know whose life you might be changing.
