Fit for the Holidays : HIIT Workout #3
Today is Day 3 of my Fit for the Holidays daily workout. I created this challenge in hopes that we can all stay on track….or at least balance out all the holiday goodies :). I initially intended to do 12 days, as in the 12 Days of Christmas, however, I counted it out and there are 21 days until Christmas soooooo….no excuses! We are working hard to form a habit together. Every workout will be different and will be between 12-15 minutes using primarily bodyweight and added weight where you feel comfortable. My goal is to focus on the typical problem areas, get a great workout in, and have fun!
**Today’s structure is going to be a little bit different. We are going to start with a fast paced cardio blast called Tabata for a total of 4 minutes (25/5) The work intervals are shorter so GO HARD. The rest is shorter too so it will keep our heart rate up! Then we are going to hit our core with 8 minutes of abs (30/10).
Beginners: Start with one time through each video. Go for another round if you feel able!
Advanced: Aim for 2-3x through or add on to your typical training day.
Day 3 Breakdown :
Day 3 Part One: Tabata Cardio (25/5) – 4 exercises, 2x thru for a total of 4 minutes
1. High Knees
2. Double Squat Touchdown
4. Squat w/2 punches
Part Two : Abs (30/10) – 6 exercises, 2x thru for a total of 8 minutes
1. Double Crunch
2. Belly Up, 3 Ski Abs
3. V Abs (L)
4. V Abs (R)
5. Mountain Climbers
6. Butterfly Crunch
